Domingo Hindoyan

Biography

Conductor Domingo Hindoyan, a product of the El Sistema music education program, is a rising figure in both opera and orchestral music. Hindoyan began his career in 2013 as first assistant conductor under Daniel Barenboim at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin. Soon he became guest conductor there and led a wide variety of productions. In 2018, Hindoyan made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera. Meanwhile, Hindoyan was building a conducting career with guest appearances on the podium with internationally prominent ensembles such as the Philharmonia Orchestra. He became the principal guest conductor of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2019, and the following year, he was named chief conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. Hindoyan made his recording debut in 2022 with that group, conducting a program of works by Debussy, Dukas, and Roussel.
