Ellinor D'Melon

Biography

Violinist Ellinor D'Melon took up the violin at age two and appeared in many countries while still in her teens. In 2012, D'Melon won the International Competition for Young Violinists in Honour of Karol Lipinski and Henryk Wieniawski in Lublin (Poland), and the following year, she joined the Zakhar Bron Academy. D'Melon made her recording debut in 2023, performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35, with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra under conductor Jaime Martín. She plays a Giovanni Baptista Guadagnini violin from 1743.
